Feeling this excitement roar
This anticipation find its way up
Right up to the top of my head
Right until the tips of my fingers
And courage, it takes brisk steps
Towards my shut mouth and opens it
Sudden anxiety, feeling morbid, awkward, terrified
But determined
Ready?
Set to go?
Excitement blurred with rushes of horror
Which in turn are wiped away with hope
How will they react? 
Will they understand? 
No more secrets
Please let me feel free
No more worries, 
I am me
This is it
It’s happening now
Not the biggest of things
But very relevant to me. 
So I’m ripping the band-aid off
That was already quite loose.
