A series of six posters about the representation of feminine masturbation.

My posters are a critique of the representation of feminine masturbation, made and performed by contemporary ‘they(s)’, (Illustrators, Filmmakers, Actors, Superstars, Visual Artists, Youtubers, Photographers or Porn Directors) for ‘our’ visual consumption.

Acting like a curator of these various references, I aim to highlight that any attempt to represent feminine masturbation through a feminist eye still finds its limits where a branded masculine interpretation of female sexuality starts.

Dom Campistron

Dom is an illustrator born in 1994 in Basque Country where she is currently based. After studying textiles in Paris for two years, she moved to Scotland and joined the Glasgow School of Art where she studied Graphic Design and Illustration, graduating in 2017.

Her work’s main focus is criticising the current representation of women’s sexuality, mostly overly curated from a masculine point of view and for men’s consumption within mainstream pornography and omnipotent advertising. Dom questions a society which constantly praises the phallus – its glorious erection and penetration – and explores historical constructions around the concepts of Femininity and Gender.
